Spoke manufacturing technology
Swiss Side and DT Swiss have partnered to create high-performance aerodynamic products such as spokes and hubs. Combining Swiss Side's aerodynamics expertise with DT Swiss' precision manufacturing, we produce top-quality spokes that reduce aerodynamic drag and enhance speed, setting new standards in cycling performance.
Together we developed the most aerodynamic and performance-oriented spokes for road cycling wheels.
DT Aerolite® II
The DT Aerolite® spoke is the market's slimmest and flattest, made possible through stainless steel and DT Swiss' unique manufacturing techniques. This design offers a notable boost in aerodynamic efficiency, reducing drag by 2 watts at 45 km/h when used in a wheelset.
The center piece is first reduced and butted to a light 1.5 mm during the cold forging process and subsequently it is bladed. This process again increases the strength of the material and generates the flat shape. This spoke fits hubs with standard spoke holes.

DT Aero Comp®
Are you looking for a balanced ratio of stiffness, aerodynamics and durability - then this is your spoke!
The middle section of this spoke is first butted through cold forging. This makes it more lightweight and stronger. In a further complex process, it is bladed to optimize the aerodynamic characteristics while increasing the material strength. DT Aero Comp® guarantees a balanced ratio of stiffness, aerodynamics and durability. This spoke fits hubs with standard spoke holes.
