Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale
UCI World Pro Tour Team
Swiss Side as
Major Technical Partner
Swiss Side has committed as a sponsor of wheels of the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE’s three cycling teams:
The World Tour team “DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE Team”, made up of 28 riders;
“DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE Development Team” made up of 10 riders;
“DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE U19 Team” made up of 15 riders.
Furthermore, Swiss Side brings additional technical support to the World Tour team with aerodynamic optimisation, and product development in their collaboration with DECATHLON’s brand VAN RYSEL.
"Major Technical Partner"
We provide technical support to ensure that the team gets the maximum possible performance from our HADRON wheels. That means ensuring the correct wheel and tyre setups are used by each individual rider for their particular role on each stage. Furthermore, to ensure the maximum performance from the complete bike and rider system, we provide aerodynamic testing for the team for key riders, including wind tunnel, velodrome and on-road aero
tests.
In collaboration with Van Rysel, we continue to push together on the product development, taking the subjective feedback from the team and riders, as well as our objective measurement results, to further develop the complete Van Rysel product offering to the team, with one simple goal: to win races.
No. 1 in Aerodynamics
The Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team and Swiss Side conducted an intensive wind tunnel test, aiming to transform their riders into the fastest versions of themselves. In this testing environment, the team, including time trial specialists Bruno Armirai, Clément Berthet, and Felix Gall, collaborated with Swiss Side to scrutinise equipment, refine rider positions, and evaluate textiles. This effort underscores our commitment to optimising every aspect of performance, with the singular goal of gaining a competitive edge through aerodynamic enhancements.
Swiss Side Wheels
The World Tour team “DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE Team”, competes with the HADRON² Ultimate wheels in races.
In the spring classics, the team makes use of the HADRON² All-Road Ultimate model, with a wider inner rim width for wider tyres, lower pressures and more stability.
On flat and rolling courses, the team rides the HADRON² Ultimate 500 and 625 wheels.
When maximum speed in TT is required, the full AERO setup will be seen with the HADRON² Ultimate 800 / Rear DISC wheel setup.
For the steepest mountain arrival stages, there is something new in store.
Stay tuned.
