Swiss Side 2023 Pro Triathlon Team

In sports, long-term partnerships stand for successful cooperation between the athlete and the brand with continuous bi-lateral improvement. Exactly this is Swiss Side. "Mutual trust, commitment, and together striving for the best possible performance. This is how we aim to work with our athletes," says Jean-Paul Ballard Swiss Side CEO & co-founder. "We are therefore very proud to continue the many long-standing relationships with the athletes in, the 2023 Swiss Side triathlon team roster."

Swiss Side provides its aero wheels for its triathletes and brings a complete performance improvement package. This is given by an engineering approach drawing on decades of F1 engineering experience, adapted and applied in a very unique way to triathlon.

The athletes will fight for their victories and push their limits with Swiss Side's world-leading aerodynamic wheels and the chance to optimise their complete aerodynamic setup on the triathlon bike in the wind tunnel, including professional support from Swiss Side's aerodynamicists.

The 2023 Swiss Side pro triathlon team roster includes well-known names such as Patrick Lange (Germany) and Laura Philipp (Germany), together with other big names such as Andreas Dreitz (Germany) and Daniela Bleymehl (Germany), who together are the so-called “German squad”. Denis Chevrot (France), Justine Mathieux (France), and the two new entries Alexys Bruynel (France), and Paul Georgenthum (France) form the “French Connection”. Lisa Norden (Sweden) and Rasmus Svenningsson (Sweden) compose the Swedish dynamite. Jan Van Berkel and Andrea Salvisberg complete the roster proudly carrying the home side’s Swiss summit.

Furthermore, Swiss Side will continue to support the Erdinger Active Proteam as well as the Erdinger Perspective team, a partnership that started in 2017. This success story will continue in 2023 as the German team supports pro triathletes and young athletes to open the chance for them to step into the food steps of athletes like Patrick Lange, Andreas Dreitz, or Daniela Bleymehl.

Swiss Side Team 2023 in detail:

Laura Philipp: With 17 Ironman, 70.3 wins, 4 Ironman world cup wins, and current Ironman World record holder Laura follows her motto "work hard, have fun, kick-ass".

Patrick Lange: Forever known as the athlete who broke the magic 8-hour mark at the Ironman World Championships in 2018, back-to-back with his 2017 Ironman World Championship win. The Winner of Challenge Roth of 2021 is hungry for more.

Andreas Dreitz: Winning the Challenge Roth in 2019 as a local hero was unique to him. But as well were all the 70.3 Ironman wins (over ten times) and the European Championship in 2016.

Daniela Bleymehl: Not only winning in Roth is a challenge, as well as being a mother, and professional athlete can be, but Daniela is doing quite well handling both at once. Furthermore, she won several Ironman races in Europe and the Ironman Africa in 2022.

Denis Chevrot: After starting his professional career in 2011, Denis collected 4 Ironman 70.3 wins and 3 Ironman wins. Finishing with his personal best time at the Ironman Distance was not enough and he put on top the title of Ironman European Champion 2022. The success story goes on as he became a daddy at the beginning of 2023.

Justine Matthieux: Just one year after turning pro, Justine won her first race at Ironman 70.3 Les Sables D'Olonne in 2020. Runner-up at Ironman Mallorca 2021 and lots of triathlons win in 2022 were just a few steps on her path to pro triathlon success.

Alexys Bruynel: An ex-professional World Tour cyclist who decided to stop his career to dedicate himself to triathlon. He is a rookie, and with his cycling skills, an excellent running attitude, and the swimming to improve, he will be a possible future surprise in the triathlon world.

Lisa Nòrden: After winning 2 ITU World Triathlon Championship titles, Lisa switched her focus to the longer distances, winning Ironman Lake Placid, as well as Challenge Salou. Closing her 2022 season with 2nd place at the Ironman Mexico her motivation is as strong as ever leading into 2023.

Rasmus Svenningson 2021 has been his most successful year so far. The pro triathlete from Stockholm, Sweden, won Ironman Lake Placid, finished second at Ironman Austria, and third in Dubai and South Africa. For his perfect race set-up, Swiss Side and Rasmus have already done plenty of wind tunnel testing in the past.

Jan Van Berkel: To keep it short: Winner of Ironman Switzerland three times in a row, runner-up at the Ironman in Tulsa in sub-8 hour time, and 2nd place finisher of  Ironman Mexico and 1st at the Inferno Triathlon in Mürren, Switzerland, are just a few of his top results.

Andrea Salvisberg: He is a member of the Swiss national team and has five Swiss Olympic Distance Championship titles under his belt. He won the silver medal at the European Championships 2018 in the Mixed Relay category and in 2021/2022, finished successfully at various Ironman 70.3 races with top ten results.

Paul Georgenthum: Only 22 years young but already 6 years of world triathlon experience in the books. This young athlete takes it seriously and finished 9 international triathlons with 6 top-ten results in 2022. Swiss Side is excited to support this upcoming champion.
